All green colored elements within the periodic table can be analyzed as main, minor and trace components. Click on the requested element, to learn more about possible measurement methods.

The chemical analysis is possible from almost any solid or liquid matrix. For the handling of smallest sample quantities ultra-micro-weighing-scales with a resolution of 0.1 μg (micrograms) are available.

Our analytics is divided in metal-, non-metal-, anion- and cation-analytics as well as other methods and parameters.

METALS

The field of metal analytics is with over 70 analysable elements a major focus in our laboratory. For the transfer of solid and liquid samples into analysable solutions, highly purified reagents and numerous digestion systems are available.

The choice of the digestion method has a significant influence on the quality of the analysis. Only by applying suitable methods precipitates or interfering matrix effects can be considered in advance and stable compounds such as polymers, fluorine containing substances, ceramics or precious metal oxides can be entirely dissolved.

NONMETALS

The classical elemental analytics is part of our daily work. It includes the analysis of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, sulphur, phosphorus as well as the halogens (fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine). Depending on the parameter, the analytics is based on digestion-, pyrolysis- or combustion-techniques. As detection methods ICP-AES, as well as conductometric, gas volumetric, titrimetric and IR-spectroscopic measurements are applied.

ANIONS & CATIONS

With anions- and cations-analytics we are detecting ionogenic components in aqueous and water-miscible liquids or water-soluble solids. Both inorganic and some organic ions can qualitatively and quantitatively be analyzed by chromatographic, potentiometric and photometric methods.

FURTHER METHODS & PARAMETERS

In addition to the analysis of metals, nonmetals and ions, we can provide further procedures for various tasks, by working closely together with research and control laboratories from different industrial fields. The available analysis techniques include, but are not limited to the following methods. Many other analytical methods can be provided on request.

PREPARATION

The sample preparation consists of all working steps that precede the actual analysis. It includes the generation of homogeneous sample quantities, precise weighing or various digestion techniques to convert the sample into a form that can be analyzed.
With many additional processes (such as handling under inert gas, drying, extraction, etc.), we provide individual and matrix-specific sample preparations.
